Research Abstract |
We represented epidemiological evidence for bovine papillomavirus (BPV) type 1 infection of a benign tumor, myopericytoma, in cattle. Molecular mechanisms of myopericytoma formation were also analyzed. We revealed that protein-protein interaction with the virus-encoded transcriptional regulator, E2, and host cell-derived transcriptional coactivator, bTax1BP1, plays an important role in thetranscriptional activation of the BPV promoter.
