Research Abstract |
Construction of tricyclo[3.2.1.0^<2, 7>] octane structure using a cascade reaction including a formation of o-quinodimethane, 6.electrocyclization and intramolecular Diels-Alder reaction was attempted. Although the desired reaction did not proceed, an useful 8-membered ring construction reaction was discovered.
