Research Abstract |
We made tissue-specific phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate 5-kinase (PIPKIII) knockout mice for analyses of myelination in central nervous system and glucose metabolism in muscle. We indicated that essential roles of PIPKIII in oligodendrocytes. And we also found that PIPKIII is a negative regulator of insulin signaling in skeletal muscle.
