Research Abstract |
Phospholipase Cδ3(PLCδ3), which is highly expressed in neuronal tissues, hydrolyzes phosphatidylinositol 4, 5-bisphosphate(PI(4, 5) P_2) and generates two second messengers, i. e. IP_3 and DAG. PLCδ3 knockdown in cerebral cortex of E14 embryo by in utero electroporation caused the migratory inhibition of cortical neurons in developing cerebral cortical plate. Furthermore, we demonstrated that neuronal outgrowth was inhibited in cerebral neurons, cerebellar granule cells, or Neuro2a cells when PLCδ3 was transiently knocked down during differentiation.
