Research Abstract |
Culture supernatants of anti-CD3 antibody-or anti-CD3/CD28 antibodies-activated but not resting murine Th clones that conferred a late asthmatic response, induced the contraction of human bronchial smooth muscle cell-containing collagen gels. These results indicate that activated Th cells produce a contractile activity for bronchial smooth muscle in vitro and have an important role to confer a late asthmatic response.
