Research Abstract

The extracellular matrix(ECM) and integrins increased on the encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis(EPS) model rat. ECM proteins and integrins increased when tumor growth factor-β(TGF-β) stimulated the cultured peritoneal fibroblasts. These results suggest that integrins enhanced by TGF-βmight contribute EPS development through the abnormal ECM remodeling.
