Research Abstract |
Although ADAMTS-4 and-5 have been identified as important enzymes for development of osteoarthritis(OA), their regulation has been unclear. In this study, we explored and identified intracellular signaling pathways that lead either stimulatory or inhibitory for the expression of these enzymes in human articular cartilage explants. These results may contribute to the development of new drugs that target cartilage degeneration in human OA.
