Research Abstract |
We comprehensively analyzed EGFR and HER-2 overexpression in uterine carcinosarcoma by tissue microarray slides to investigate whether EGFR and HER-2 oncoproteins are molecular targeting markers of uterine carcinosarcoma. EGFR oncoprotein tended to be overexpressed strongly in the mesenchymal component, and overexpression of EGFR oncoprotein tended to increase proportionally to the grading of endometrioid adenocarcinoma increase in the epithelial component. This study may suggest that EGFR oncoprotein is a molecular targeting marker of uterine carcinosarcoma.
