Research Abstract	We conducted semi-structured interviews involving alcoholic patients and co-residential families at the time, and qualitative and descriptive analyses, to review prealcoholics, those in a condition from the occurrence of alcohol-causing problems to continuous drinking, and clarify how patients recognized their own conditions and changed.
