Research Abstract |
We constructed general systems for freely designing origami mechanisms through the theoretical study on rigid foldability, the development of the methods for physically encoding transformational behavior to 2D patterns, and the implementation of the design systems, thereby solved problems that potentially occur when applying origami to engineering purposes.
