Research Abstract |
In this study, a novel photosynthetic hydrogen fermentative bioreactor, which simultaneously wastewater treatment and hydrogen production, was developed based on the reactor concept of down-flow hanging sponge(DHS). As a result, during a period of COD loading of 10 kgCOD/m^3/day, corresponding to a HRT of 4 h for influent strength of 2500 mgCOD/L, the hydrogen yield achieved 8.83x10^<-4> mol-H_2/mol-glucose.
