Research Abstract |
This study clarifies the historic importance of two large-scale works of Hanns Eisler and Paul Dessau written during their period of exile by examining the intent behind and processes involved in the creation of these works ; the study also analyzes their composition techniques and the concrete effect they aimed to achieve. Simultaneously, the different standpoints of these works that were generally related to a common theme. antifascism. are highlighted. In addition, we also focus on the practical implications of these works in today' s day and age by examining the history of their reception.
