Research Abstract |
This study explores :(1) the process of language change in second person pronouns in Yuan-kan Zaju Sanshizhong and (2) first person pronouns in Yuan Dynasty plays with specific reference to character styles, phonological features and syntactic structures. Although considered as variant characters, these aforementioned linguistic features are examined (3) as being synonymous with non-Chinese usage in Yuanqu. Part of this work,(1) and (3) previously appeared in the Kyushu Chugoku Gakkaiho No.49(2011) and No.50(2012). The second paper was read at the Regional Regular Meeting of CLSJ(December 17, 2011, Kumamoto University).
