| Research Abstract |
We conducted a prospective cohort study with pregnant women who visited a private maternity hospital and gave birth at the hospital. We assessed the associations between small-for-gestational-age and 1) pre-pregnancy BMI and gestational weight gain, 2) white blood cell count and 3) hematocrit. Also, the association between severe perineal lacerations at delivery and neonatal anthropometric measurements were assessed.
