Research Abstract |
Jaw bone periosteum exhibits unique gene expression profiles that are associated with cells of neural crest origin. Jaw bone periosteum graft produced larger amount of new bone compared with femur periosteum graft. These results indicate that jaw bone periosteum might be an alternative material to autogenous bone for treating alveolar bone defects by grafting.
