Outline of Research at the Start

次世代の情報化社会に向けて、人と親和性が高く、限られた種類の安価な元素で作られる環境調和型の有機エレクトロニクスに注目が集まっている。現在、素材として高分子伝導体が用いられているが、その構造的な乱れのために伝導機構の十分な理解、伝導性制御には至っておらず、物性研究からの貢献が強く求められている。
本研究では、実用性はあるが伝導機構解明、精密な物性制御が難しい高分子伝導体と、構造―物性相関研究による伝導機構解明は行えるが、物性制御範囲が限られている低分子伝導体の中間に位置し、双方の利点と知見が取り込めるオリゴマー伝導体を対象とし、無機金属を凌駕する室温伝導性付与で有機エレクトロニクスを発展させる。
