Outline of Research at the Start

ハドロン質量の９８％は量子色力学(QCD)で記述される真空が持つ「カイラル対称性の自発的破れχSB」により動的に獲得される。その有力な検証方法が「χSB が部分的に回復している原子核中でのハドロン質量減少の観測」である。
本研究では、原子核中でのω→π0e+e－ 崩壊モードからのω中間子形状因子導出に注目する。理論的にこの形状因子は、核媒質でχSBの減少に敏感なρ中間子を中間状態として持つとされる。即ち、原子核中ω中間子形状因子は、中間状態であるρ中間子の質量変化を起因として真空中状態の形状因子から大きく変化する可能性がある。この変化の有無を確定することによる、ハドロン起源の同定を目指す。
