Outline of Research at the Start

新たなサブミリ波受信機を開発しNANTEN2望遠鏡に搭載、中性炭素原子ガスの分布を広範囲で求める。これをCO分子輝線の結果と組み合わせ、COだけでは捉えきれない分子ガスの総量を求める方法を確立する。これを超新鮮残骸と相互作用する星間ガスの分子成分の定量法として用い、HI 21cm線スペクトルと合わせ、星間陽子の総量を算出、超新星残骸から放射されるガンマ線強度との相関を取ることで、ハドロン起源とレプトン起源のガンマ線成分を分離する。これらの割合が、超新星残骸の進化に対しどのように変化するのかを調べ、衝撃波による高エネルギー粒子加速の時間進化の描像をえる。
