Outline of Research at the Start

原子層レベルまで厚さを低減したシリコン（Si）結晶は、多用な電子・光学デバイスへの適用が期待される次世代材料である。本研究では、複数のウェットプロセス（薬液を用いた化学処理）を巧みにSi結晶層に適用する。これにより、厚さと幅が共に制御された、Si原子層リボンを簡便に形成することを目的としている。また、得られたSiナノ構造体について、原子構造や電子状態等の特性を正しく計測・評価することも目指す。
