Outline of Research at the Start

創薬研究において、疾患関連タンパク質のポケット(鍵穴)に結合する医薬(鍵)によってタンパク質の機能を制御する「鍵と鍵穴創薬」が主流であったが、この方法で対応できない疾患も存在する。特に神経変性疾患は根治療法が未だほとんど無く、この現状を打開するために、新しい創薬モダリティが求められている。本申請では、神経変性疾患を直視し、近接制御を基盤とした新しい創薬モダリティを開発することを目指す。
