Outline of Research at the Start

LiDARは、周囲にある障害物の距離や位置関係を精度良く検出できることに加えて、物体認識の可能性が期待できる。しかし、現状の標準的MEMS型LiDARでも、垂直分解能は低く、例えば、80m先の人物は高さ5ー7画素程度のため人検知はできるものの、高度な人物認識（個人認証、年齢・性別識 別、動作認識など）は容易ではない。
本研究では、人物認識のために最適化したLiDAR光学系とその制御方法、並びに、LiDARの特性に合わせた人物認識手法を組み合わせたLiDARシステムを提案し、人物認識タスク・状況の違いを考慮した人物認識を実現する。
