Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は,学習者の学習状況を学習トピック単位で理解することで個別最適な情報推薦を行うデータ駆動型教育を実現する.①教育学習を学習トピック単位で記録する密センシング手法,②教育学習活動の文脈を把握する深層的活動分析手法,③行動変容を促す説得性を持ったフィードバック手法について研究を進める.大学教育の実践の場でデータ駆動PDCAサイクルの実証実験を実施し,研究成果の有用性と有効性を検証するとともに,成果を国内外に広く展開する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は,データ駆動型教育を実現するための高密度学習分析基盤の構築と評価を行う.学習者の学習状況を学習トピック単位で理解することで個別最適な情報推薦を行うデータ駆動型教育を実現する.ここで,学習トピックとは,科目内で学習する概念や学習項目,学習キーワードなどの構成要素を指す.そのために,①教育学習を学習トピック単位で記録する密センシング手法,②教育学習活動の文脈を把握する深層的活動分析手法,③行動変容を促す説得性を持ったフィードバック手法について研究を進める.数千人が集う大学教育の実践の場で,リアルタイム支援,授業の実施回毎の支援,授業期間毎の支援の3つの時間粒度でデータ駆動PDCAサイクルの実証実験を実施し,研究成果の有用性と有効性を検証するとともに,学習分析技術や基盤システム,エビデンスをオープン化して成果を国内外に広く展開する.
2024年度は,PC搭載のカメラから得られた視線情報に基づくデジタル教材の注視領域内の学習トピックに対する学習パターンの推定手法を開発した.従来のデジタル教材の閲覧ログ分析と比較して,細かい時間粒度と空間分解能(トピックレベル)で各学習者の学習パターンを抽出できることを確認した.学習活動の分析結果に対して説明性や解釈性を高めるために,生成AIと連携したフィードバックの仕組みを開発した.予習や復習などの学習支援を行うためのチャットボットの開発に応用し,その有用性を確認した.

Reason

研究計画としてあげている「学習活動密センシング」,「横断・学習分析/深層・学習分析」,「説得力のある情報推薦」について,当初計画通り技術開発やシステム開発ならびに評価実験が進んでいる.さらに生成AIを利用した新しい仕組みについても並行して研究開発と評価を進めている.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

引き続き,研究計画に沿い技術開発と精度検証を行うとともに,生成AIの活用の可能性も並行して検討しつつ,現場での実証実験を進める.
