Outline of Research at the Start |
Young people are believed to have a higher rate of vaccine hesitancy and distrust, a lower perception of infection risk, and are more reluctant to comply with public health advisories. Understanding SARS-CoV-2 attitudes and behaviours among young people necessitates an exploration of development and identity salience. Moreover, because SARS-CoV-2 is also an infodemic wherein individuals are exposed to an overabundance of misinformation amplified online, the communication of coherent public health discourse is essential to persuade young people to engage in proactive health behaviours.
