Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では,プラズマと低次元界面液体(液柱流・液滴)との界面層における,電荷・気流,液体形状変化が相互作用することによって起こる特異的な界面反応を解明し,プラズマ照射液体内の反応生成物の完全制御合成を目指す.
具体的には,低次元界面液体に電荷,活性種を独立に供給する高度制御気液界面プラズマ装置を開発し,その装置により生成されたプラズマ照射液体内外の活性種,電荷,電界,気流,液体形状の時空間分解計測技術を確立するとともに,統合シミュレーションによって,実験のみでは完全に得られない情報を理論から定量的に補完することで,プラズマ気液界面の時空間ダイナミクスを解明する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では,プラズマと低次元界面液体との界面層における,電荷・気流,液体形状変化が相互作用する特異的な界面反応を解明し,プラズマ照射液体内の反応生成物の完全制御の学術基盤構築を目的としている.
①プラズマ生成活性種・電荷の低次元界面液体への独立制御供給技術の開発:これまでに製作した『液柱流導入装置』に『電荷・活性種制御プラズマ源』を組み合わせて,電荷・活性種を独立に制御して液体へ照射し,種々の計測を実施した.
②プラズマ照射低次元界面液体での活性種,電荷の計測手法の確立:【電界計測】『ピコ秒パルスレーザー計測システム』を用いて,電界のその場計測が可能であることを実証した.【電荷計測】電荷制御プラズマ源でのプラズマのナノ秒生成により,表面電荷密度・帯電面積を制御して液柱流を帯電させ,液柱流の下流で静電プローブにより表面電荷の時間発展を計測することに成功した.【活性種計測】液柱流の上流域で二種類の活性種制御プラズマ(He+N2プラズマ・Ar+N2プラズマ)を生成し,プラズマ生成活性種を気液界面に到達させ,その下流域で選択的化学プローブを用いて短寿命活性種の高時間分解計測に成功した.さらに,局所的に流体をサンプリングすることで比較的長寿命の活性種の局在分布を計測することにも成功した.【液体形状計測】高速度カメラを用いて,液面不安定性の観測や,それが発達して破断に至る様子を観測できた.
③低次元界面液体の形状変化と化学反応のシミュレーション手法の開発:プラズマと低次元界面液体との界面層における反応生成物の輸送現象を理論および数値解析的に捉えるために,実験系を模擬した液柱流の変形および破断に続く液滴生成過程の数値シミュレーションをフェーズフィールドモデルに基づく二相系格子ボルツマン法によって実現し,液柱界面の変形から破断による液滴生成に及ぶ一連の過程をシミュレートすることに成功した.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

2023年度は,2022年度に製作した『液柱流導入装置』に『電荷制御プラズマ源』と『活性種制御プラズマ源』を組み合わせて,電荷および活性種を独立に制御して液体へ照射し,種々の計測を実施した.
『電界計測』として,2023年度に導入した『ピコ秒パルスレーザー計測システム』を用いて,電界のその場計測(E-FISH)が可能であることを実証し,『電荷計測』として,液柱流の下流で静電プローブにより表面電荷の時間発展を計測することに成功している.また,『活性種計測』としては,液柱流の上流域に二種類の活性種制御プラズマ源を設置して,プラズマ生成活性種を気液界面に到達させ,その下流域で,選択的化学プローブを用いて短寿命活性種の高時間分解計測に成功した.さらに,局所的に流体をサンプリングすることで比較的長寿命の活性種の局在分布を計測することにも成功した.『液体形状計測』としては,2023年度に導入した高速度カメラを用いて,液面不安定性の観測や,それが発達して破断に至る様子を観測できている.
『シミュレーション手法の開発』においては,液柱界面の変形から破断による液滴生成に及ぶ一連の過程をシミュレートすることに成功した.
以上の成果は,研究年次計画における,2023年度までの実施内容(プラズマ源開発と計測手法確立)をほぼ達成しており,2024年度の電荷・電界,活性種,液体形状変化,気流の詳細な計測と,それらの成果を統合してプラズマ気液界面反応ダイナミクスの解明へ向けた研究の推進に大きく寄与するものである.
以上の理由により,おおむね順調であると言える.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

2023年度の成果を踏まえて,今後は以下の研究を推進する.
【プラズマ照射低次元界面液体での活性種,電荷,電界,気流,液体形状の計測手法の確立】
『電界計測』として,電界のその場計測(E-FISH)により,プラズマ-液柱流界面近傍の電界の時空間分布を計測し,電子エネルギー分布関数への影響,液柱流への電子輸送の変化等について詳細に調べる.さらに,その結果としての気相反応と液面供給活性種の変化について明らかにする.『電荷計測』として,静電プローブによる液柱流の表面電荷の時間発展計測により,電荷制御プラズマ源で制御した表面電荷密度・帯電面積を計測するとともに,それらが液体形状変化に及ぼす効果について詳細に調べる.『活性種計測』として,選択的化学プローブを用いた短寿命活性種の高時間分解計測手法と局所的流体サンプリングによる長寿命活性種局在分布計測手法を用いて,活性種の時空間分布を計測し,液体形状変化や電界・電荷等の時空間発展との関係を見出す.『液体形状計測』としては,高速度カメラを用いて,液面不安定性の観測や,それが発達して破断に至る様子を観測し,気流や液体表面電荷との因果関係を解明する.
【低次元界面液体の形状変化と化学反応のシミュレーション手法の開発】
流体の運動をラグランジュ的に記述する粒子法を併用し,界面近傍において生成する物質の対流輸送および拡散輸送のシミュレーターを開発するとともに,界面反応・帯電モデル(気相界面近傍電子と液相過酸化水素の界面反応およびクーロン力の発現によるイオン化と界面帯電)を,実験結果を基に構築し,当該シミュレーターに実装することで,「プラズマにより帯電し界面反応により液柱表層に生成・局在した短寿命活性種を輸送する液柱流」のシミュレーションを実現する.
