イマヌエル・カント（1724-1804年）が死の前年まで書きためた膨大な断片や草稿は、彼の死後13の束に分類され、ドイツ語版カント全集に遺稿集（いわゆる『オプス・ポストゥムム』、以下OPと略記）として収録され、刊行された。今まで英、仏、伊、西語でこのOPの一部が翻訳され、刊行された。本研究では、OPの主要部分の日本語訳を完成させ、批判期(1781-1790年)から晩年にいたるカントの思想の変化と発展を、『自然科学の形而上学的原理』、『純粋理性批判』、『実践理性批判』、『判断力批判』とOPを関連づけながら体系的に追究し、カント哲学におけるOPの意義を明確にする。
