Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、日本画表現の拡張は、「四角形で平面」という日本画の形状から離れることでできるのではないかと考え、これまでの伝統的な日本画表現技法を土台として、球形や六面体、円筒形等の日本画の立体作品を、「日本画表現の拡張」と位置付け、立体作品制作における、支持体・構図・技法研究を行う。
そのため平面作品と立体作品を同時に制作・展示し、支持体・構図・技法の相違点を新たに提示する。そして立体作品のための「耐久性のある支持体」「球形画面の構図」「日本画の色材（岩絵具等）の接着技法」等の研究を行い、立体作品には日本画表現の拡張となる大きな可能性があることを示す。
