Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements
Focusing on the articulation of consonants in German Lieder, this study calculated the average duration of sustained consonants based on performance recordings by German Singers. Using the ideal note values of consonants, a notation system with enhanced visual clarity was devised and applied to the musical scores. External evaluations of the performances using these scores indicated that this notation effectively improved the clarity of onset consonants. However, issues related to coda consonants and information overload in the scores were also identified.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
