「講話」は、江戸・明治期に対馬や薩摩で編纂され、朝鮮語通詞たちの語学教科書として長くもちいられた朝鮮語学書の一つである。現在所在が確認できる「講話」は4冊であるが、採択者は、はやくから「講話」の語学資料としての重要性に着目し「講話」の写本のうち3冊を入手し、文献学的・言語学的検討をおこなってきた。さらに、2017年末、成立年度の最も古い最後の1冊、小田幾五郎が天明4年(1784)に編集した写本を入手した。この写本は、長年未公開であったため入手がかなわずにいたものである。天明4年本を入手したことにより、現在所在が確認できた写本がすべてそろい、「講話」の写本間における対照研究が可能になった。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study compares and analyzes the linguistic features-orthography, phonology, grammar, and vocabulary-of four extant manuscript copies of Kowa(講話). Among these, the Kagiya Historical Museum Manuscript is considered to be the closest to the original version. It was acquired by the principal investigator of this study and introduced to the academic community for the first time.
Each manuscript exhibits distinct textual lineages. Notably, differences in the annotation of Korean phonetic values reveal a connection to the genealogies of interpreters' families (通詞家). To further clarify the textual relationships among these Korean language manuals, additional materials compiled by interpreter families were also collected. As part of this effort, two new sources-Kikigaki (聞書) and Chosen Yakumeige (朝鮮薬名解)- were obtained and analyzed.The findings of this research will be compiled and published as a comparative study of these manuscript traditions.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
朝鮮語学書類は、その成立経緯が不明であった場合、言語資料としての性格が明らかでなく、言語研究に利用するのに支障がある。ところが、本研究の代表者が成立年度の明らかな最も古い形を保つ写本を入手し、研究をおこなったことにより、その成立経緯が解明され、朝鮮語学書間の系譜関係も明白になりつつある。
成立年度の最も古い写本と他の写本間で、本の構成や表記などに差異を明らかにすることによって、新旧朝鮮語・日本語の特徴を看取することができる。日本人によるこれら朝鮮語音価の書き込みは、韓国国内の文字資料にはあらわれない音韻的特徴が反映されることがあり、朝鮮語音韻史の反省材料を提供することが期待できる。
