| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、大学の価値を新たな側面から認識する評価項目・指標の策定、及びこれを活用した大学評価の探求を目的とし、これまで研究前例のない「大学校風」に着眼する。
これにあたっては、学長の挨拶記録、大学ホームページ等のテキスト分析から校風形成要素を抽出分類する。さらに大学や校友会・保護者会の会長等にアンケート調査を行い、校風要素の特性を確認する。これらより、校風を形成する要素を確定して可視的指標に置き換え、これを活用した自己点検・評価の範例を提案する。
こうした研究工程により、大学の個性と強みを引き出す「活性化評価」につなげていく。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to create innovative university evaluation indicators fostering revitalization, with a focus on university climate.
In FY2022, climate-related descriptions from nationwide university websites were analyzed, revealing a strong link between university climate and "freedom," though perceptions varied among university members. Alumni experiences significantly influenced climate development and social evaluation, with their perspectives shaping institutional identity. In FY2023, a "National University Climate Perception Survey" with around 400 responses empirically validated prior findings, broadening insights into climate perception.
In FY2024, the significance and challenges of fostering a "free university climate" were systematically examined, leading to indicators such as enhancing student autonomy, strengthening counseling systems, reforming faculty/staff awareness, and establishing adaptive policies based on continuous feedback.

本研究は、従来日本の大学評価において看過されてきた「校風」に着目し、これを活用した評価指標の策定を目的とした。これにあたり、全国大学のホームページ検証と、校風に関する初の全国調査を実施し、校風の構成要素を抽出・分類整理した。その結果、校風を具体的な評価項目や指標に置き換えることができ、そこから大学の個性と強みを引き出す「活性化評価」の可能性を提言した。
校風の明確化は、大学の志願者確保や学生の帰属意識強化、卒業生・保護者の支援にも寄与し、大学の発展に貢献する。本研究は、校風を評価指標として活用する新たな枠組みを提示し、大学の持続的成長に寄与する革新的な評価範例として、学術的・社会的意義を有する。
