Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、ポリヘドラルプロダクトのトポロジーとそれを定める単体複体の組み合わせ構造の関係をファットウェッジフィルトレーションと呼ばれるポリヘドラルプロダクトの部分空間列を用いて明らかにする。また、ポリヘドラルプロダクトを用いて懸垂空間のループ空間のモデルを構成し、上記の研究をループ空間のトポロジーや組み合わせ構造へと応用する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ポリヘドラルプロダクトは、空間対と抽象単体複体から構成される空間である。定義からポリヘドラルプロダクトのトポロジーはそれを定める抽象単体複体の組み合わせ構造を反映することが期待され、コホモロジーなどで美しい反映を見ることができる。したがって、ポリヘドラルプロダクトのトポロジーと組み合わせ構造の相互作用は興味深い研究対象であり、現在、盛んに行われている。
Golod性とはネター環に対して定まる代数的性質であり、特に、抽象単体複体のStanley-Reisner環のGolod性を組み合わせ的に特徴づけるという問題は古くから研究されているが、未だに未解決であり、多くの研究者を惹きつけている。一方、抽象単体複体のtight性とは、微分幾何学におけるtightな埋め込みを組み合わせ的に翻訳して得られる性質であり、極小三角形分割と深い関わりをもつため、盛んに研究されている。
入江幸右衛門氏との共同研究によりポリヘドラルプロダクトがサスペンション空間になるための十分条件を組み合わせ的に与えることに成功し、これにより、1,2次元の抽象単体複体のGolod性を完全に特徴づけた。さらに、この結果から抽象単体複体が多様体の三角形分割の場合はGolod性は極小分割と関係することを発見し、tight性とも関係するのではないかと予想した。(1,2次元の場合、この予想は正しい。)そこで、3次元の場合にGolod性とtight性の関係を研究し、入江幸右衛門氏と開発した手法を用いて、これらが同値であることをトポロジー的に証明した。これはトポロジー的にも興味深く、また、組み合わせ論においても全く新しい視点を与える結果である。

Reason

3次元多様体の三角形分割に関するGolod性とtight性の関係に気づき、それらが同値であることを証明できた。このように、ポリヘドラルプロダクトを通して組み合わせ論の新しい結果を実際に生み出すことに成功したので、研究は順調に進んでいる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

一般次元の多様体の三角形分割のGolod性とtight性の関係に関する研究を行う。3次元まではGolod性の定義における高次Massey積に関する条件を考える必要がなかったが、4次元以上だとこれらを考える必要があり、格段に問題が難しくなる。そこで、まずは代数的なアプローチを考える。
