Outline of Research at the Start

銅酸化物高温超伝導体は常圧下では全物質最高の転移温度を持ち，その記録は現在も破られていない．それ故，他の物質で高温超伝導が実現するかどうかに興味が持たれてきた．本研究では数値シミュレーションを用いて，近年合成されたニッケル酸化物超伝導体と，銅酸化物を比較研究する．この種のニッケル酸化物は銅酸化物と電子構造がよく似ていることが過去に予想されていた．特に，銅酸化物では酸素原子と銅原子に属する電子同士の混成が重要だが，ニッケル酸化物では混成度が低く，また転移温度も低い．本研究では混成度と転移温度の決定メカニズムとの関係性を明らかにすることで，新たな高温超伝導物質の設計指針を理論的に導く．
