Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では, これらの故障率関数もしくは強度関数が多項式によって与えられる多項式故障モデルを静的多項式故障モデルと動的多項式故障モデルに分類し, 信頼性評価を含む統計的推論問題を統一的に取扱う一般的な計算基盤を確立することを目的とする. 具体的に, 現実の世界において広く適用されているパラメトリックモデルよりも一般的かつ柔軟な信頼性評価を行うための計算基盤を, 理論構築とツール開発の両面から研究する. 軽量かつ高速に寿命解析と信頼性評価を実行するプロトタイプを開発し, 観測された実データを用いた実証研究を通じて, 多項式故障モデルの有効性を検証する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は, 単純整数次局所多項式モデル以外の多項式モデルに着目し, それらの推論スキームの確立した. 単純整数次局所多項式モデルと同様に, 多項式の次数を決定するために情報量基準を用いて最尤推定を行うことは可能であるが, フーリエ多項式, ルジャンドル多項式, ラグランジュ多項式, ウェーブレット多項式を用いて多項式故障モデルを推定する問題では, 強い非線形性と多峰性, および不連続な多項式を扱う場面があるため, 通常の最尤原理に基づいて推論を行うことは困難であった.
そこで, 解像度の観点から推定量のデノイズを行う縮小推定を適用し, 故障モデルを推論するためのスキームを確立した. これは申請者らがソフトウェア信頼性評価において既に確立した方法論を汎用的な信頼性問題に拡張することに対応しており, 新しい多項式故障モデルの解析法の見通しが立った.
また, ウェーブレット変換と CNN (畳み込みニューラルネットワーク) などの機械学習モデルの親和性は知られているので, AI 技術を応用した故障モデルの解析法を世界に先駆けて開発するプロジェクトを開始した.

Reason

軽量かつ高速に寿命解析と信頼性評価を実行するため、多項式故障モデルの計算基盤としてのプロトタイプを開発した. 本研究プロジェクトにおいても, 開発される多項式故障モデルの推論エンジンや信頼性評価エンジンを R やPython のアドインとして提供し, 信頼性の研究コミュニティのみならず広く産業界においても利用を促進できるようなプラットフォーム開発に着手することが出来た.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

静的多項式故障モデルと動的多項式故障モデルに対して, モデルパラメータを推定するためのアルゴリズムを開発し, システム信頼性やソフトウェア信頼性を特徴づける信頼性指標を定量的に評価する計算基盤を確立した. よって、今後は具体的な適用例として, 静的多項式故障モデルではハードウェア製品を出荷する前に実施される寿命試験データを用いて各種製品の寿命分析を実施することで, 多項式故障モデルの有効性を検証する. 動的多項式故障モデルにおいては, ソフトウェアのように製品に内在する欠陥数が未知である製品のテストデータから, 各種製品の信頼性を特徴づける品質評価指標を導出する. いずれの場合においても, 現実の世界において広く適用されている(ワイブル解析に代表されるような)パラメトリックモデルよりも, 一般的かつ柔軟な信頼性評価を行うための計算基盤を理論とツールの両方の観点から確立することを目指す.
