Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、溶質元素の選択により高い降伏強度や延性を発現するマグネシウム合金系を舞台に、第一原理計算手法により底面及び非底面（柱面、1次錐面、2次錐面）における積層欠陥エネルギーを計算する手法を確立する。互いに特徴の異なるマグネシウム合金系に対して積層欠陥エネルギーを計算し、底面すべりと非底面すべり系との活動度比にみられる物質依存性を明らかにする。さらに機械的材料試験を含む実験的研究と第一原理計算手法の強い連携により、マグネシウムに微量の溶質元素が固溶することによってすべり系の活動性が変化する微視的要因を解明し、合金化によるさらなる特性向上への設計指針を得ることを目標とする。
