Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、モデル生物で有用物質生産に広く利用される大腸菌の遺伝暗号の拡張と非標準アミノ酸合成能の実装による新規な機能性タンパク質合成法の開発に挑戦する。これが実現できれば、従来の組換えタンパク質合成手法と同様に、大腸菌に目的遺伝子を導入するだけで翻訳後修飾されたタンパク質が合成可能になる。これは従来技術を踏襲しており、容易に合成スケールを拡大できるメリットがある。
