Outline of Research at the Start	農業害虫として知られるネコブセンチュウへの対抗手段のひとつとして抵抗性品種が利用される。しかし、これらの抵抗性が有効に働かないネコブセンチュウ種・系統の発生が世界的にも問題となっており、新規の抵抗性素材および防除技術の開発が求められている。申請者らは先行研究においてナス科野生植物Solanum palinacanthumが複数のネコブセンチュウ種・系統に抵抗性を発揮することを明らかにした。本研究では二次代謝物等の視点からS. palinacanthumが有する線虫抵抗性メカニズムを明らかにする。
