Outline of Research at the Start

種の繁栄存続のためには、適切な時期に、最適な状態の配偶者と出会い、生殖行動を営むことは必須である。近年、排卵期の女性の腋の匂いが、他の時期の匂いと比較して、男性にとって快く魅力的に感じるという研究が複数発表されている。これらの研究は、排卵期女性の匂いが男性にとって魅力的なシグナルとして機能している可能性を示唆している。そこで、本研究では、排卵期女性腋に有意に増加する成分を同定し、排卵期女性の匂いを男性がどのように感じるのか、さらに、その匂いに対する生理・心理的反応を明らかにする。
