Outline of Research at the Start	霊長類の大脳皮質は、機能的な分化が進んでいる。各領野を構成するニューロンとその神経結合は胚発生期の急激な形成過程のみならず、生後発達期の大規模な再編成過程を経て、その機能を獲得する。この神経回路の大規模な再編成過程は、領野に特異的に起こり、霊長類の機能的な神経回路を作り上げるために不可欠な過程とされるが、どのような仕組みで起こるかはわかっていない。近年、シナプス形成・除去のインバランスが、精神疾患に関与していることが明らかになりつつある。私たちは、精神疾患モデル動物およびヒト死後脳を用いてこの問題にアプローチする。
