Outline of Research at the Start

在胎期間に比して体格が小さい新生児（SGA）は正常胎児発育児（AGA）と比べて神経学的予後が不良である。また、SGAラットでは脳内エネルギー基質が乏しいため、低酸素虚血負荷に対して脆弱であり低酸素性虚血性脳症（HIE）が重症化する。近年、HIEに対する幹細胞療法の基礎的/臨床的研究が様々な幹細胞を用いて行われている。SGAラットとAGAラットの大脳組織で生化学的・免疫組織学的に比較検討することで、SGAにおけるHIE（SGA-HIE）の重症化機序を解明する。併せて、Muse細胞を用いたSGA-HIEに特化した治療法開発のための検討を行う。
