Outline of Research at the Start

これまで乳幼児の自然免疫応答を効果的に賦活化するというコンセプトに基づいて開発された「乳幼児に適したワクチン」はなく、幼若動物の腸管粘膜免疫誘導における経鼻免疫の有効性についても全く情報がない。本研究は、申請者の臍帯血研究によって見出されたザイモサンのアジュバント機能を基盤に、ノロウイルスに対する防御免疫を効果的に乳幼児の腸管粘膜に付与できる経鼻粘膜ワクチンの開発を目指す。
