Outline of Research at the Start

最新緒シークエンス技術を駆使して、健康な日本人の腸内真菌叢とウイルス叢の特徴（欧米人との違い）を明らかにし、さらに、IBDにおける変化を検討することにより真菌やウイルス（バクテリオファージ）のIBDの病態への関与を明らかにし、さらにそれらを標的とした新たな治療法(ファージ移植など)の開発を目指す。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

炎症性腸疾患患者の糞便よりウイルスパーティクルを分離しショットガンシークエンスによりウイルス叢（バクテリオファージ叢）の構成の変化を解析した。その結果クローン病ではCrassphageが健常人と比較して統計学的に有意に増加していた。この変化は潰瘍性大腸炎でも確認中である。今後これらの結果を踏まえて新たな治療法の開発に取り組む予定である。
