Outline of Research at the Start	心臓-副腎連関メディエーターとしてのケトン体の役割と心不全悪化予防を目指した臨床展開への探索が本研究の目的である。心不全悪化抑制作用には、心不全時の交感神経活性抑制効果の関与や、また副次的に上昇するグルカゴンやケトン体の影響が示唆されてきたが、一貫した機序解明は、未だ達成されていない。本プロジェクトの成果は、新たな心不全病態の原因メカニズムとしての糖代謝ホルモンー交感神経活性異常の役割の重要性を示す成果となり、心不全に代表される自律神経異常に基づく循環器疾患の新たな診断・治療標的になりうることへの大きな分水嶺となることが期待される。
