Outline of Research at the Start

スキルス胃がんに対する新規治療方法、特に近年注目されている免疫治療薬の開発は急務である。スキルス胃がん研究を生体に近い環境下で進めていくために、我々はC57BL/6マウス由来不死化胃上皮細胞株に対してヒトスキルス胃がん関連遺伝子の強制発現・ノックアウトを行い、同系統マウスに移植するという正常免疫マウス移植腫瘍モデルを確立した。この正常免疫マウス移植腫瘍モデルを用いて、スキルス胃がんの造腫瘍性・免疫抵抗性獲得メカニズムを解明し、治療方法を探索する。そして、臨床検体を用いてヒトスキルス胃がんでも同様のメカニズムが作用していることを明らかにし、スキルス胃がんの根治的治療方法の開発を目指す。
