Outline of Research at the Start	我々がこれまで開発してきたシート型止血材・液状止血材の技術を用いて、シートの中に予め粉末状等に加工したゼラチン止血材を含有させ、水や血液を吸収すると同時に固化させることができれば、これまで以上の止血材が創出できるのではないかと着想した。この機能が実現されれば、強度の上昇だけでなく臨床使用時の利便性もかなり向上する。つまり、柔らかいシート状で創傷面を万遍なく被覆したのちに周囲の水分や血液を吸収し固化・止血する止血材が、本研究で開発する高機能シート型止血材である。このような特性を持つ止血材は現状では存在しない。
