Outline of Research at the Start

妊娠高血圧症候群（Hypertensive Disorder of Pregnancy: HDP）は母体の高血圧や腎機能障害、児の子宮内胎児発育不全などを惹起し母児の生命を脅かす重篤な疾患である。HDPの発症は胎盤を構成する主要な細胞である栄養膜（トロホブラスト）細胞の分化・浸潤不全に一因があるとされているが、そのメカニズムは未だ明らかになっていない。本研究では、HDP患者由来のトロホブラスト幹細胞（TS細胞）を樹立することで、HDP患者におけるトロホブラスト細胞の分化・浸潤を試験管内で再現する実験モデルを構築する。得られた知見はHDPに対する新規治療法の開発に寄与すると考えている。
