Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements
Vitreoretinal lymphoma (VRL) and ocular sarcoidosis (OS) are both diseases that present with intraocular inflammation; however, their detailed pathophysiological mechanisms remain poorly understood. In this study, we performed integrated multi-omics analysis using various omics approaches to elucidate the shared and disease-specific molecular pathogenesis of these conditions. By conducting four-layer omics analyses;proteomics, transcriptomics, microRNA analysis, and metabolomics;we identified both common and disease-specific molecular pathways in VRL and OS. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to a better understanding of the pathogenesis of these diseases and facilitate the development of novel biomarkers for differential diagnosis.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
