Outline of Research at the Start

インフラマソームの慢性的な活性化は、多様な慢性炎症性疾患の発症に関与する。本研究計画では、歯周病菌P. intermediaが有する強いインフラマソーム活性阻害能力に着目し、本菌由来のインフラマソーム阻害分子の正体を特定し、その分子機序を明らかにすることを目的とした研究を行う。本研究の実施により、本菌が分泌するインフラマソーム阻害分子を新規の抗炎症性医薬資源として転化できるかを検討する。
