| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、室内照明の照度・色調によって自律神経機能を調整し、口腔顔面痛に対する直線偏光近赤外線星状神経節近傍照射療法の治療成績を向上する試みである。さらに、新規治療マーカーであるディファレンシャル パラメーターを用いた心拍変動解析によって口腔顔面痛の治療過程における詳細な病態解析を行うものである。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we investigated 1) the effects of indoor lighting and color tone on autonomic nervous function in patients with orofacial pain. 2) We investigated the effects of indoor lighting and color tone on SGR treatment outcomes. 3) New cure
The pathology of orofacial pain during the treatment process was analyzed by HRV analysis using D-parameter, a therapeutic marker.
The D parameters (D Mean HRT, D SDNN, D RMSSD, D PSI, D TP, D VLF, D LF, D HF, D LF norm, D HF norm, D LF/HF) values were calculated from the existing parameter values. These were compared before and after treatment and statistically examined.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の意義は、1）口腔顔面痛の治療成績の向上に貢献した。本研究の成功は患者・社会にとって大きな福音となった。次に、2）口腔顔面痛の治療過程における病態の解明に貢献した。本研究によって得られる知見は口腔顔面痛に関する研究・医療に新たな視座を与え、その発展のための大きな推進力となった。これらの貢献は歯科領域にとどまらず、慢性疼痛を取り扱う医科診療科に対しても益するところは大きいと考えられた。また、本試みは新たな医療資源を投入することなく実施可能であり、医療財政への負担を軽減し、医療経済上も有益であった。
