Outline of Research at the Start

近年、世界的に歯周病は増加傾向にある。歯周病は多因子疾患であり、多くのリスクの組み合わせによって進行しやすいことから、細菌要因と宿主要因の相互作用を複合的に考える必要がある。しかし、これらの相互作用が歯肉炎から歯周炎への進行にどのように関与しているかは解明されていない。そこで、本研究では追跡調査（コホート研究）により、口腔内細菌叢・遺伝子多型・miRNAを含む細胞外小胞の違いが歯周病の進行（歯肉炎から歯周炎）に影響するのかを調べる。また、疫学研究によって得られた特定の細菌叢グループに対して、培養実験で細胞応答を調べる。
