| Outline of Research at the Start |
研究協力対象施設である産後ケア施設や助産院等において、産後ケアに10年以上携わり、専門的知識と熟練した技術を有すると施設の責任者が推薦する研究対象者（以下、助産師）各施設1名に研究の説明と同意を得る。施設の方針等により助産師の専門的思考や行動特性等に偏りが生じないよう、各施設1名の助産師を対象とする。同意が得られた後、アンケートおよびインタビューガイドを用いて各60分程度の半構造的インタビューを行う。これにより、長年産後ケアに携わってきた助産師の思考や専門的な臨床能力、行動特性を分析しコンピテンシーを明確にする。状況により対面でのインタビューが困難な場合、オンラインでインタビューを実施する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study conducted behavioral event interview-based structured interviews to clarify the competencies of 21 skilled midwives nationwide who had over 10 years of postpartum care experience. Competency-related content was obtained from recorded interviews, from which 192 codes were extracted through qualitative, descriptive analysis. Through comparing similarities and differences, 24 subcategories and 6 categories were identified. The 6 categories were: “health support for the mother and child, and the development of a safe child-rearing environment”; “support for the start of child-rearing and the reduction of child-rearing anxiety”; “creation of an environment which allows for easy consultations and support for problem solving”; “support for mothers’ self-determination and respect for diverse needs”; “support for maternal independence and the marital relationship”; and “continual community support and collaboration among multiple professions.”

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は、熟練助産師の実践から産後ケアに必要なコンピテンシーを明確化し、6つのカテゴリー・24のサブカテゴリーとして体系化した点に学術的意義がある。産後ケアの質保証や人材育成に活用可能な評価指標の基盤を提供することで、助産師教育への貢献が期待される。また、産後うつや児童虐待の予防に向けた助産師の専門的役割が明らかとなり、制度の実効性向上や地域母子支援体制の強化に資する点で社会的意義が大きい。
