Outline of Research at the Start

パーキンソン病（PD）は、本邦で15 万人以上の患者がいる進行性の神経難病である。PDの診断と治療は難渋することが多い。これまでに脳卒中後患者の軽度～中等度の半身不全麻痺に対する経頭蓋磁気刺激 (TMS) 療法は、安全かつ有効であることを実証してきた。本研究は、歩行に障害をきたしているPD患者を対象に、強力な磁気刺激を発するパラボラコイル を用いての脳深部への磁気刺激法と集中的リハビリテーション併用療法を行い、その有効性を歩行機能に与える影響とそれに伴う血中ドーパミン濃度の測定や新たな拡散MRI技術と頭部MRI画像の解析法によって、歩行機能改善時に起こる変化を主に解析する。
